Issues after 10.0.2 Update

I updated my iPhone 6 software yesterday to the 10.0.2 software. Immediately, I have been having issues with the phone going haywire, opening and closing apps and not responding to swipes or using the home button. Three times yesterday I had to reboot a minimum of 3 times each for it to stop.

Today, while on phone call, it put the call onto hold and called another random number. When I was able to get hung up, it did the same thing to another number. I again had to reboot 3 times. The haywire act of opening and closing apps, going through apps and settings and not responding overall is continuing. Sad, but it makes me wonder if it is time to move on. Any help?

Hello fresnorugger,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that after updating your iPhone 6 to iOS 10.0.2 you have been having multiple issues including apps opening and closing, along with the screen and home button not responding. I know how important it is for your iPhone 6 to be running smoothly for you after updating the software. Restarting your iPhone is a good first step. The next steps I recommend would be to create a backup file if you have not already, and then restore your iPhone and set it up as new. Verify the issues do not persist while the iPhone is set up as new and then restore your backup file. The following articles will provide you with the steps on how to create a backup file and restore your iPhone:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Best Regards.
