Q: Safari 10 running macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro has slown down safari immensely! HELP!!?
So I have a MacBook Pro with the following specs:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB
Now I updated to Safari 10 on September 20th and nothing bad happened. Everything was running fine and I really noticed no difference. But when I downloaded macOS Sierra, that's when Safari started to slow down. I only have 1 Safari extension: AdBlocker Pro. I use Safari the most on my mac so I need it to work. I do my homeschool, youtube, etc on it. I also am a moderator for MCPEHub and people often put Adf.ly links in their downloads. So to be safe I downloaded AVG AntiVirus (Free) just in case some ad led me to a website that was virus infected or something. I don't know if I have an application, extension, bad WiFi, or something thats slowing Safari down. I didn't make a backup for my Mac before the update and I have already been using Sierra for a while so even if I did have a backup, I don't want to lose any of my data. I have even tried downloading FireFox and Chrome but they didn't work either! Also, when I receive pictures on iMessage on my Mac, it takes a while for them to load. I have looked this up and people are saying to delete history, cache, and all that but either it doesn't work, or I don't want to do something they list because I have no clue if I will screw up my Mac if I do it!

Your Mac has System Integrity Protection.
Third party anti virus software is unnecessary and will slow your Mac to a crawl. Visit the AVG website and look for uninstall instructions.
