Q: I downloaded Sierra. The install failed saying download corrupt. App Store still says downloaded but there is no install button and I cannot download again.

I understand that you've downloaded macOS Sierra, but aren't able to install it, as you're told that the download was corrupt. In such a situation the next step would be to delete the existing download of the installer application and re-download it.
If you don't have Launchpad on your Dock, you can access your Applications folder in the Finder from the Go menu > Applications. Once in Applications, find the Install macOS Sierra app, click once to highlight it, open the File menu > Move to Trash. You may need to enter your administrator password to complete this step.

Apps downloaded from the App Store: Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock, hold down an app’s icon until all the icons begin to jiggle, then click an app’s delete button. If you later want the app, you can reinstall it from the App Store.
