    Hello volvoxc70,

I understand that you've downloaded macOS Sierra, but aren't able to install it, as you're told that the download was corrupt. In such a situation the next step would be to delete the existing download of the installer application and re-download it.

Apps downloaded from the App Store: Click the Launchpad icon in the Dock, hold down an app’s icon until all the icons begin to jiggle, then click an app’s delete button. If you later want the app, you can reinstall it from the App Store.

If you don't have Launchpad on your Dock, you can access your Applications folder in the Finder from the Go menu > Applications. Once in Applications, find the Install macOS Sierra app, click once to highlight it, open the File menu > Move to Trash. You may need to enter your administrator password to complete this step.

    Cheers!

Brilliant!  All done and dusted now.  Thanks for your help.  If only things had been this simple on LEO III!

    cheers.

Exactly the same thing has happened to me. My only problem is that the app isn't showing in the Applications folder, and I have no idea where else it can be. The app is still showing as "downloaded" in the App Store app. Grrr....

Ah... got it now. The app is called "install Mac OSX Sierra". I deleted it and can now download again from the App store.

Guess I'm a bit myopic for not spotting that.
