iPhone 7 Plus Camera - Pictures are bad

I did that for diagnostics purposes and it seemed to help. Photos are ok enough for me now. There is the issue with occasional white balance and low light photos but I can live with that now. Photos I recently shared are, I think, ok now. Let's see if apple does something with future updates to fine tune that .

I wrote about that above + one other user thinks that he might have done the same with the same results. I am not sure if this is what I did that helped but (whatever happened) that was the only action I did and photos were better since then. Not perfect but for sure better than the paitings (anti-photos) I was taking with the camera....

No one tested that and noone reported anything so I am not sure if that is any kind of temporary fix...

Resetting all settings didn't do anything besides what it's supposed to do. Pictures are still ugly as **** with heavy noise reduction resulting in a water paint effect.

I reset, and it seemed to have done something, but not too sure -- I'm a bit out of focus on the /after.

Someone above mentioned that close-ups are not as affected; this seems to be the case w/ me as well.

Still not impressed compared to the 4s. I was expecting the flagship phone 3 generations later would be significantly (at least noticeably) better.

i was very sceptical, but resetting all settings did indeed fix this! also fixed the rediculous white balancing issues i had.

you are a lifesaver, now i can finally start loving my iPhone 7 over my old 6.. those awefull photos and rediculous looking facetime calls almost made me go back to 6.

I reset my settings and it changed nothing at all. Pictures still look horrible with that same water color painting look

I just did a full reset. Watercolour effect still exists. :/

Glad to hear that it worked with some of you. The solution i offered was like fixing a car engine by kicking it once. Those who reset their phones and it did not work. Why don't you try it again. I have no explanation why it worked with me and some others. It might though work next time when you try it. Give it a shot, you never know.

@wc2h .... No it was just the basic all settings reset what kind of fixed it. Before that I did full restore because of other reasons and photos were with watercolor effect every time. I think also that the settings might be stored in icloud and they are always restored with restore that is why the consultant asked me to reset them to do the diagnostics on my phone...
