I take the following picture with my new iPhone 7 Plus (only one example).

So as you can see, this is really crap.
What is the problem? Is it a Hardware of Software (10.0.2) issue?
The results of my old iPhone 6s Plus were better...

I sometimes look at past photos taken with iphone 4S, 5S and 6S. Those pictures look nice, good color reproduction, good details. Why do you think Apple sid not show any landscape and colorfull photos in their iphone 7 keynote, like they used to with older models?? They knew that color reproduction is horrible, oil painted and details are crap.
I do not expect a perfect phone, but seriously, I do expect a decent camera!

same here... and pictures are worse when you share them on whatsapp... totally disappointing camera...
Whatsapp compresses images to a very small, use e-mail or iMessage.

Well, both the 6S and SE have the problem but it is not that obvious as in the case of 7 and 7 Plus. Or, at least that is how I saw it.
Oh I've forgot one important thing!
At Color, besides Saturation, also bump up Vibrancy between 10 and 20 depending on your prefference.

Here is an example of a photo taken indoors. No ugly oil painted colors, very good details and colors.

Saturation at 30
Vibrancy at 25
Clarity at 5
Noise reduction both at 50
I've just seen the photos taken from the Huawei phone and they are of the quality I expected to see with iPhone 7. I regret not seeing this earlier.
