Q: Final Cut Pro 10.2.3 doesn't open a library anymore!

Hey! I could really use some help understanding this, a total mystery:

This morning I tried to open a Final Cut library that is saved on my harddrive. I worked with the library last night, but now it just won't open anymore.

It gives an error: Final Cut quit unexpectedly

It DOES open some other libraries, its just this one that won't open.

Also, I tried to open it on a different computer, but there it doesn't open either.

I tried Trashing FCP from Preference manager, did a First-Aid, but it seems that the problem is IN THE LIBRARY not in the program.

Plus, NONE of the backups open either.

Any ideas?;)

Thanks!!

Try opening the most recent backup library.

By default, they are stored in Final Cut Backups in the Movies folder.

So, here's an update: what helped was to move the contents of this damaged library to a new library (and move from finder, not to copy-paste or duplicate). At first it seemed like it won't work, but after a while the content started arriving to the new library!!:P

What also might help: at first when I opened the NEW library (with the old contents that were moved in there) then it did not show any traces of the new content. But then I opened a LATEST BACKUP of the OLD LIBRARY and this did the job(maybe also because it had had some time to think by then)

    Goodluck!
