I understand that after updating your iPhone to iOS 10, you've been seeing an alert about a hold duration, and you've been having some issues with your touchscreen not being responsive. I know it's important to efficiently use your iPhone, so I'm happy to help.
It seems that these two issues may be related, as the hold duration is how long you have to touch the screen before it'll respond. This article explains more about that feature, as well as how to disable it:
Use Touch Accommodations with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple SupportIf you want your device to respond only to touches of a certain duration
You can set your device to respond to touches only after holding your finger on the screen for a certain period of time, called the hold duration.
Here's how to start using Hold Duration:
- Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Touch Accommodations.
- Turn on Hold Duration.
- Tap the - and + buttons to change the time.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Cheers!
