I understand that you're no longer able to control audio output on your Mac after installing a few different security apps. If you'd like Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac to a point prior to having installed these apps, that's absolutely an option. However, do keep in mind that doing so would, indeed, remove any changes made after the point of that backup, including the installation and configuration of said software.
Alternatively, you might consider having a look at the article linked below for steps that can help restore functionality to audio output on your MacBook Pro.

The sound came back without me doing anything. Phew! You were so right about Time Machine. I couldn't go back because of what I would lose.Is there one place you can get trouble shooting links for Mac like the one you sent me?
