itunes iphone backup not possible

On my Mac mini there are three user accounts, every user has an iPhone, and every user used to run itunes for backup in his own session.

Now one user run his backup in a session of another user by mistake. Since then itunes denies backups when the user tries to run it in his own session saying "not enough space on disk, delete files ...".

Only the wrong user can run backups for the other user.

Any hints to resolve the problem are welcome.

Hello wfhartmann,

As you stated, you are unable to backup a user's iPhone to iTunes because of an error of not enough space. Let's go over what can be done about that.

Simply put, if you do not have enough space, then you will need to create more. If you have plenty of space, then you will need to contact Apple Support for further assistance. Take a look at the information outlined below for more details.

If an alert says there's not enough disk space

If a message says there’s not enough disk space when you try to back up your device, free some space on your Mac or PC. If you still see a disk-space error after you free enough space, contact Apple Support.

If your iTunes backup couldn‘t be completed or you can‘t restore from a backup
