Hi sarah113,
I understand that you've had some issues recently with deleting Mail on your MacBook Pro. I know it's important to have control over your data, so I'm happy to help.
Do you get this error when deleting any of your messages?
Let's rebuild your mailboxes so that Mail knows which messages it still needs to work with. This article provides the steps to do so:

Do this for any mailbox that contains a message that gives you this error.
