iPhone 7 with iOS 10.0.2 freezes!!

My iPhone 7 just freezes. It shows nothing but the home screen picture.

I had to press volume button and the home button to turn off.

It is now once it is on again. First time happening.

Before this, I noticed a few times the screen turns to complete black with a spinning wheel, the one you would see when you start you iPhone. I think my iPhone just restarted itself, a few time now!!!!

Any suggestions to fix it?

Congratulations on your new iPhone 7. I understand you are experiencing some issues with the iPhone possibly restarting and becoming unresponsive and you had to force restart it to get it to become functional again. The first thing that I'd like to recommend is to make sure that you have a current backup of your device.

Then, if the issue with the unresponsiveness comes back: If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn‘t respond to touch .

Also, If your iOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly , is a good article to review as well, if you still notice that your iPhone restarts unexpectedly.

have you gotten an update on this? I have a 7plus and my apps crash and give me a black loading screen. last week I had to bring my phone to the store so they could reset it Because iTunes couldn't even do it here home. i have restored and reset the phone a hand full of times. I even skipped restoring my data from iCloud I backed my pics up on google photo. thought starting as a new phone would help and it's still doing it.

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.
