Q: Safari Web Content (Not Responding) fix
I have a Mid-2009 17" MacBook Pro, and for the past year (at least), i've been dealing with Safari Web Content (Not Responding), and have had to have Activity Monitor up and running 24/7 when i am on the computer to force quit not responding activities in Safari. Fans also run high when this happens as well. I narrowed it down to a memory leak (i think) according to Activity Monitor. So i swapped out the 3rd party memory that i had installed and put the original factory memory back in, and it continues to do the same thing.
I have done everything that i have read thus far but have yet to find a solution (aside from opening Activity Monitor). This happens waaayyy too much and it is extremely frustrating. I cleared the caches, turned off extensions and plug-ins, reset Safari multiple times. I also tested this on other user accounts, as well as a Guest User account. It happens everywhere. I also wiped my drive and did a clean install on multiple occasions, by only bringing back the pertinent information that i needed, wiped my Time Machine after the fact, and done a fresh clean Time Machine backup after doing all of this in the hopes that if i did need to do this again, that i would have a clean backup.
I am looking for a solution to fix this once and for all, that does NOT involve going to Activity Monitor. Does anyone have any other ideas of things that i can try? Thanks in advance for the help.
