In App Purchase Family Sharing

I purchased an app called Spanish by the Endless ABC company. I bought a word pack on my phone. I have family sharing. I can't see the new words on my wife's phone. Are in app purchases ineligible for family sharing?

Hi Bootbangnd,

Thanks for your question. Your wife can access the Spanish app, but she would have to purchase her own word packs as in-app purchases can't be shared in Family Sharing.

What types of content can I share with Family Sharing?

What you can't share

  • Songs added to iTunes Match that weren't purchased from the iTunes Store.
  • Individual or student Apple Music memberships and other subscriptions, such as magazines and newspapers.
  • In-App purchases.
  • Items that are no longer available on the iTunes Store.
  • Items that you or another member of your family group have hidden. Learn more about hidden purchases.
  • Some apps from the App Store. Find out if your app is shareable.
  • Ringtones.

Take care.
