Mail Settings Lookup
Apple has incorrect info for my mail settings. I use a POP server, not IMAP. I think that is impacting an issue that I am having with my email account.

I assume this is Mail on your Mac? You've posted in a slightly obscure forum for Windows users and your post might get better attention in the right location. It may be that you have to tear down the account and recreate it but Mac mail isn't one of my specialties so there might be other options.

I did set it up manually. I did not set it up as IMAP, so I don't understand why Mail Settings Look Up has IMAP info.
The problem I am having is this: The Incoming mail server line cannot be highlighted and therefore cannot be modified. It IS the CORRECT info, however. (The same as I have on all my devices.) The outgoing mail server is incorrect, but I cannot change it! When I go to the Edit SMTP list, I choose the server name that I use (on all my other devices), but it doesn't save. Instead it reverts back to my email address with offline in parentheses.
Yes, this is Mail on my Mac. I wasn't able to locate a community that would deal with the mail issue. There didn't seem to be that choice. I didn't mean to post it to a Windows users group. I apologize.
You can set up the account manually and configure it for POP3 access. See Use Mail on your Mac - Apple Support or Set up an email account on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

No problem at all, but I wanted to check before asking the hosts to move it. Hopefully the cavalry will arrive soon. 🙂
