Q: 1 mac, 2 iPhones; photo mgmt ****

Hello,

I have reached a level of **** that Dante never described: photo management.

I surrender to the knowledge of the apple community — how do you manage your photos on an iPhone? Seems simple, right? Right up until you add in the complexity of a few things: 2 iPhones, 2 iCloud accounts, 1 computer.

How do you guys manage?

I want to back up my photos on an actual hard drive.

I do not want to use Photos as an app.

When I add a photo to an album on my phone, I'd like it to stay there.

I am fine with using iCloud.

I am a dropbox subscriber.

The level of **** that I've entered is logging in and out of AppleID in order to manage the phone.

Not understanding how and where to delete something permanently.

Not understanding how to archive my photos in folders, the way I want to, while still being able to sync.

Not having a sync'd folder create a duplicate in my camera roll.

desiring low $$ in cloud storage.

pardon my ignorance. I thought I knew what i was doing. I thought Apple knew what they were doing.

It's become apparent to me that no one knows what they're doing. Please help.

I'll be simmering in photo mgmt **** until I hear back.
