Cannot scan with my HP all in one

When I try to scan, my HP printer says "you need to install or run HP software for this feature." I have the software but when I try to install it, it says, "You can’t open the application “HP all-in-one Installer” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported." All other features work fine.
