Q: Holding power button on OS X Sierra won't bring up shut down menu
I know this is a pretty minor thing, but is it possible to get back that pre-Sierra feature where if I held down the power button on my MacBook Pro I would get the dialog box with the shutdown, restart, sleep, etc. options? Now if I want that to pop up I have to press Control+power button - again I know it's a minute feature, but I've been so used to it that I would just like to get it back again.
Thanks in advance.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS Sierra (10.12), null

It should work by holding down the button for 4 to 5 seconds -- does for me but there is another discussion where some are reporting problems: macOS Sierra - hold down power button to enter sleep mode
