Q: Virus detected on my Mac

I was on my Mac when I received a pop up saying the last webpage I was on released a virus, then the apple webpage popped up saying the virus affected about 33% of my computer. I scanned the computer on apple and it detected a virus and then scanned it with Norton Security and that found nothing. I'm not sure if this is a real virus or what to do, please help.
