Reappearing Lexmark file--cannot permanently delete

Hi,

Yesterday, I uninstalled some very old programs, and ever since an odd file, "Lexmark T654" (a TextEdit document), keeps reappearing in my Downloads folder every time I start up my Powerbook. It doesn't let me delete it (when I try, I get error message -8060), so I use the Trash-It app, but it's there again the next time I start up. Also, it automatically opens Safari upon start up and goes to a Xerox page that appears to have nothing to do with anything I have. (I have never used a Xerox printer/copier with this laptop.) Any help on finally getting rid of this annoying glitch would be appreciated!
