Q: how come it made an own network?

i connected my  AirPort Time Capsule 2TB Wireless Hard Drive & 802.11ac Wi-Fi Base Station for the first time and it made an own network and it connects it automatic. How come that happens?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10.0.2

The AirPort Time Capsule is doing exactly what it is designed to do......since it is a wireless router (with a built in hard drive).......so it will create its own wireless network signal when it is set up for the first time.

 

If you plan to use Time Machine to back up your Mac to the Time Capsule, be sure to use the wireless network signal that the Time Capsule is providing......so that your Time Machine backups will be officially supported by Apple.
