Q: since updating my phone to latest IOS, my Apple TV no longer connects to iTunes Store. I am sent on an endless loop of username, password, verification code

ASince updating my IOS, Apple TV won't connect to iTunes anymore - how do I fix this?

iPhone 5s, iOS 10.0.2

    Try a simple restart via the Settings app or by disconnecting the power cord gor about 30 seconds.

    Already did that. It's not the Apple TV, it's this new double verification system not working for the apple TV (although it worked for setting up every other device)

     

    i have tried using my phone as a hotspot to work it, I have tried the Apple TV app from my phone. I have made sure to update the Apple TV software. It just puts me into an endless loop of username, password, verification code when I try to get at my purchased tv shows

    Hi. You are correct, it's the "new" double verification system. Depending on your Apple TV, you may be able to append the code to your password. Otherwise, you need to disable 2-step verification, or 2-factor authentication, temporarily while logging in on ATV.
