Q: ICloud calendar dilemma between PC and Apple devices

I am main operator and have Mac, iPad, iPhone.

Hubby has ipad, iPhone and PC 8 (not 10).

We use same password to access Apple and ITunes and Cloud.

We have updated to latest updates via Apple but he had problems with

Windows going from 8 to 10, so reverted to 8.

Question 1: He is not Apple aware. Calender on PC is not syncing. When I go into cloud on PC

it is different. On Mac states share calender and tick. On PC is share calendar/contacts/notes.

Which he ticked. Giving him numerous copies of contacts only on PC. How do I fix this for him?

Question 2: How do I set his calendar ony to iCloud on PC to share?

What is the magic trick please? What am I missing?

Question 3: Is family sharing the answer? If so this would require him to change his password.

with six devices operating with two people (3 devices each) and me staying as manager, how

do,we change just his password.....is this possible? He has different contacts to mine.

many thanks

If Calendar isn't syncing on the PC, try toggling (or un/checking) that option under the iCloud settings to see if it kickstarts it.

iCloud is a syncing service that syncs all of your data across of your devices you are logged into with your Apple ID/password.  Have it sync only to the PC will be defeating that purpose and is impossible in my opinion.

In my opinion, I think Family Sharing would be the answer however he doesn't have to change any password once you organize the Family Sharing.

None of the above assisted the problem.

I believe it is to do with the PC which with icloud comes up with option of calendar/notes/contacts - there is no way of separating them.

I don't want all his mates on my list, and he surely doesn't want mine.

We just want to sync calendar. Surely it can't be too hard.

Because he pushed this during recent upgrade, it then tripled his contacts ONLY on his PC. So that's another problem.

Me being manager of family group won't change a thing. Use same password.

    So frustrating.
