My phone was a gift will apple still service it
MY iPhone 5s was a Christmas gift I stilll have the box . I would like to know if apple will service it?

You don't need the box. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store, and they will take a look at it. There is no charge for this service. Once they have had a chance to evaluate the issue, then they will let you know what your options are.
It is a good idea to back up your device to iTunes or iCloud before taking it in. Also, turn off Find My iPhone if you can prior to taking it in.
