How to delete garageband instruments and lessons after deleting files from library?

I used this method to delete all my Garageband files http://smallbusiness.chron.com/delete-garageband-mac-29847.html

However I still see a message in storage settings that say garageband instruments and lessons are using 880.3MB. It was about 3-4 GB before I tried the method above. I have never used Garageband or made any lessons. Hope this is enough info.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), macOS Sierra (10.12), null

Hi..

Just an update.

I decided to reinstall GarageBand, then proceeded to use -menu > About this Mac > Storage and click the Manage button. Then I saw the DELETE button...

It works.. GarageBand and all instruments and lessons remove.. saving me 28G of space.

Thanks

TH

Did you open the -menu > About this Mac > Storage and click the Manage button?

If you hover the pointer over one of the items in Music Creation, you should be seeing an "x". click it to delete the item.

Most of the items will be installed in the folders

/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/

or

/Library/Application Support/Logic

or

/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/

But be careful, what you delete, if you are using other music creation software or video software. The instruments and loops are also used by Logic and MainStage, and the Apple Loops by iMovie or Final Cut for sound effects.
