apple tv box to a computer screen (screen only) can i do this?

mirroring my ipad to a PC Screen (not connected to a computer)

is this possible via apple tv


i have connected HDMI from apple tv to a PC screen DP.

then trying to mirror screen from my ipad to the PC screen via applie box


reason is my security cameras use "Meye" and this only runs vi an app (not on PC)

so I want to project from ipad to a larger screen in my loungeroom


is this possible?


or does anyone know of an application I can use on PC that is the same as MEye?

you should be able to use a hdmi, display port and dvi (if it support hdcp) directly as they were tv's

but the hdmi or display port in a computer is output only, some tvtuner boxes may support hdmi in but not sure if they could handle the hdcp encryption

Hi. I'm very unclear on what you are doing. Are you just trying to connect Apple TV to a computer display, to ise in place of a TV? What adapters are you using, possibly HDMI to DVI? Is the computer also connected to the display? What do you mean by "PC screen DP"? You certainly cannot connect the Apple TV HDMI output to a computer HDMI output.


Are you able to use mirroring with this app when Apple TV is connected to a regular TV set? The app can block AirPlay if it chooses.
