Apple, why can't you do something work since the beginning before rolling out such a buggy software!!!!!

Oct 5, 2016 10:23 PM in response to vibazaby themancan,I'm having this issue as well, when I go fullscreen in Chrome for YouTube or Netflix.
Question for you and the others on this thread: Are you using any window management apps like Optimal Layout, to position windows? I am. Wondering if it's that.

Oct 6, 2016 1:16 AM in response to themancanby lleksii,I don't have none of that, so I guess that should not be the problem. Does it happen immediately or can you also watch for maybe 10 seconds after the restart happens? I'm still struggling not to use fullscreen but it just happens when I'm not thinking. Hope it gets fixed soon, glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

Oct 6, 2016 7:29 AM in response to themancanby vibaza,No I'm not using any window management apps either, and it also doesn't happen immediately for me as well. The video is able to play for a few minutes and then all of sudden it restarts without any warning.

Oct 6, 2016 8:48 AM in response to vibazaby themancan,I could get a few minutes as well. Restart happened after maybe 2 or 3 minutes.
In my case, I'm pretty sure it was Optimal Layout. I've quit that and haven't had the issue. Looks like there are a lot of different apps that are causing this behavior in Sierra. (From the ShiftIt github issues page it looks like perhaps Sierra changed things wrt fullscreen apps.)
@vibaza, Try going through your apps and quitting everything (including things that don't show up in the dock or even the menubar; check the startup items as well), then try fullscreen video and re-add apps until it tanks. That's what I'll be doing if I'm wrong what's causing it for me.

Oct 6, 2016 8:48 AM in response to vibazaby Ikeman624,Have an update. I have since re-downloaded macOS Sierra and reinstalled it on my MBA. The whole process as you know its not what you might normally do as its a hassle and time consuming; but I've been testing it for the past 2 days and so far the problem has not showed up again. Im able to watch full screen video on any format and expand any window to full screen without a problem. Still I will wait for the MacOs Sierra update 10.12.1 which I understand its in beta right now. perhaps the update might solve the glitch permanently.
