My MacBook Air will not restart
Hi
Having problem with my MacBook Air, it won't restart been like this for a week or so.
Any help would be gratefully received

Hi Thank you for quick reply unfortunately I am able to force it to quit and start up and the mac is not frozen but it wont restart with out my pressing the power button to force it to quit,I Have tried restarting/shutting down via the apple menu, but no luck.

I have run through a couple of things that were in the latest article you sent me ,I forgot to say, everything works on my mac Air, but when I try to restart or shut down, only the finder is frozen.
I've asked for your thread to be moved where the right users are more likely to see it. Hopefully someone else will recognize the symptoms and suggest a remedy.

As a test, create a new Admin User Account and see if you can shutdown from it
