Bug report : After updated to Sierra, Mac Pro can't find EIZO monitor properly sometimes (connecting with Thunderbolt)

Hello there,

I just updated to Sierra recently, then I found there is a issue, my Mac Pro sometimes can't find the monitor properly, even I reconnected several times, the only way to fix it is to shutdown the Mac with holding the IO bottom then reboot it again, because the monitor shows nothing, and I don't have other monitor. My hard drives are connecting with the Mac Pro already, it is really risky to shutdown when those hard drives are connecting.

I try to unplug all the hard drives first if I need to shutdown the Mac Pro, incase it need to reboot twice to connect the monitor, but sometimes I forget to unplug the hard drives, then I have to reboot it and keep praying...

It never happen before update to Sierra, please help to fix it with next update, I worry this issue will damaged data.

Try to sleep and wake your Mac, or unplug/replug the Mac end of the display cable.

I can't see the monitor, so I have no way to put it to sleep and wake it.

I found shortcut, will try it next time, but it never happen before update to Sierra.

it doesn't work even unplug/replug the display cable.

Toggle Off/On all your Display settings in System Preferences. Also try Safe Boot mode.

Restart in Safe Boot mode by holding down the Shift key at startup. Safe Boot is quite slow because the OS performs some cleanup and verification tasks, so give it time. After you're completely logged in, restart normally.

I just tried Safe Boot mode, will observing few days see if it works.

It doesn't work.

If I turn off the Mac over one night, it may happen again.

If the monitor didn't turn on first, then I powered Mac, it may happen.

If I use other monitors in place A, then when I move to place B, first time connect to EIZO FlexScan EV3237, it will happen.

To wake it from sleep mode looks fine, but I just tried when only plug in the monitor, no hard drives.

Just want to mention again, I use my Mac Pro as usual as before I upgrade to Sierra, the only thing changed is MacOS.

Before Sierra, it never mind to powered monitor first or not, and never mind to change the monitors any time, and I never reboot the Mac Pro just right after it just powered...

I really hope this bug can be fixed, it really bother me a lot, especially workflow.

I have the same problem after updating to sierra.

Mac Pro late 2013 #

AMD FireProD700

Even with the Beta sierra 10.12.1 Beta to does´t work.

But in my case it does´t work never!. Neither with Thunderbolt to DisplayPort nor through HDMI.

I tested the monitor and the cable with my iMac (El Capitan) witch works both properly.
