Cannot paste into maps search bar.

Hello, after some time I did figure out you needed to diuble tap to bring up the paste context menu, but I cannot seem to get it working in Apple maps. I double tap and I get a blank insert rectangle but never any options to select. Is this a bug or something I'm doing wrong?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10.0.2

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that you are trying to get the paste context menu in Apple maps, but it isn't showing up. I can understand wanting to get this working, I use paste a lot in Apple Maps.

Please follow these steps:
1. Copy an address.
2. Open the Maps app.
3. Tap 'Search for a place or address'. This will slide to the top of the screen.
4. Then, tap 'Search for a place or address' again, and you'll see the option to paste.
