Q: How can i activate my iphone 7s plus without sim through itunes
I'm from Philippines and i've just bought an iphone 7s plus in Japan, but i cannot activate it without a sim card, even itunes requires one. Will i be able to activate it using a Philippine sim card once i get back to Philippines? Is it okay if I temporarily use a sim card from japan just to activate it? Because I'm afraid it might cause problems once I bring it back to the Philippines
iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.0.2

You cannot activate an iPhone without a sim. The sim does not have to be
associated with an active cellular account; however, if the iPhone is locked to a
particular wireless provider, the sim must be from that wireless provider.
Be sure that the iPhone is unlocked before you leave Japan. If the the iPhone is
locked to a wireless provider, only that wireless provider will be able to unlock it.
What does it say when you look at Settings>General>About>Carrier?
You may have to scroll to see the entry for Carrier.
