Oct 2, 2016 12:02 PM in response to AtDarkenedSkiesby ChrisJ4203,Does 3D Touch work on your device? Do you have that turned on? See this support document about messages and animation. Understand this only works with iMessage, messages in a blue bubble. Use message effects with iMessage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Oct 2, 2016 12:11 PM in response to AtDarkenedSkiesby ChrisJ4203,So, when to press on the send arrow, nothing at all happens? What troubleshooting have you tried?

Oct 2, 2016 1:52 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by AtDarkenedSkies,That'a correct. Nothing happens. The arrow just turns a lighter color but no menu appears. I don't what to do to troubleshoot it. All I've really done is restart the phone and play with the "reduce motion" button.

Oct 2, 2016 7:24 PM in response to AtDarkenedSkiesby ChrisJ4203,Standard user troubleshooting steps include restart, reset, restore from backup, restore to factory. Testing after each step. Try resetting your device. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. Test after that.

Oct 3, 2016 3:57 PM in response to AtDarkenedSkiesby LinzMo3783,This was driving me nuts! I even asked someone about it at an apple store and they couldn't help me. But I did find the answer. If you have "Reduce Screen Motion" turned on, this feature will not work. Check out the link below.
Reduce screen motion on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Oct 3, 2016 7:47 PM in response to LinzMo3783by AtDarkenedSkies,Unfortunately that is not my issue. I do not have the "Reduce Motion" activated and still can't use the expressive messages. I have tried a hard-reset and a basic restart. Neither of which fixed the problem.
