iOS 10 replaced lock sound 'click' with 'clunk"

I noticed that when I use the sleep/wake button, the former 'click' has been replaced with a 'clunk'. Is there anyway to get the 'click' back? I looked in the Sounds control panel of Settings but didn't see a way to change it; just turn it on or off.

I never said anything at all about muting the device? And the OP already acknowledged the option to disable sounds.

The OP was asking about altering the actual sounds used by iOS for those controls, and in answer to that question my answer was completely accurate. There are no settings to alter those sounds. Disabling the use of sounds is not the same thing as altering the sounds used.
