Oct 9, 2016 10:23 AM in response to Angus Podgorneyby PacoTheDog,If you hit the round button again and DON'T SWIPE AT ALL then it takes you directly to your phone screen. Swiping to the right takes you to widgets. Swiping to the left takes you to your camera.

Oct 9, 2016 4:37 PM in response to Angus Podgorneyby baadtaste,After being "bullied" by Apple about updating I updated to 10.0.2. And got the notifications when I tried to open the phone. I have turned off as much notifications as I can. I do not want anybody to pick up my phone and see my appointments! Also the new functionality of opening the phone is flawed in that it puts more strain on the home button which is one of the most repaired items (except broken screen). I used to feel a sense of control over Apple products. That feeling is rapidly dwindling. (rant rant)

Oct 11, 2016 8:03 PM in response to Angus Podgorneyby WidgetScreenStinks,I find the whole widgets screen in latest upgrade beyond annoying, cleared all widgets tried suggestions can't get ride of useless screen that is now blank with the word edit on my kids face. I know I don't have to go to this screen, the fact that is there bugs me. Spent a chunk of time getting down to just two screens after latest software install I now have four. Also I get the slide to open is gone and did the finger reset open thing but I still have to hit home button twice before entering PIN.

Oct 15, 2016 3:58 AM in response to RainshadowCoastby langnaples,Could not agree more! I'm not paranoid so I have no passcode
This is my experience with the POS upgrade...
1. press
2. stare at an empty screen to read the word edit on my kids head
3. swipe - ...thats a blank screen with my background pic
4. swipe - ****...thats my camera...swipe...theres my slo mo camera
5. press button...back to a blank screen with my background pic
6. swipe - ***...
7. press button...press button...and there is my screen that I have been looking for
I do not want a widget...nor do I want to read edit on my kids head. If I want to read my mail...I go to my mail. This was not a overwhelming task...What dipshit techie came up with this?
