iPhone is on WiFi, Apple TV 4 is on Ethernet

I have my Apple TV 4 connected to my home network via Ethernet. This is the same home network router that also broadcasts my WiFi. Can I not use the app on my iphone when the Apple TV is connected by Ethernet?

Yes you can. However, if you are having issues it could be because your router is treating wired and wireless as separate networks. Try restarting the router, make sure it's up to date.
