Adding music on Apple Music

The previous version of Apple Music was easier to use. Adding music on your playlist from Apple's music library was much easier. The new version of Apple music is so complicated. Whenever I add a music from Apple's music library on my Iphone or Ipad. It would just ask me to download it. I have to open up my mac and go thru Itunes and add music from there. With the iphone and ipad it only gives me the option to download the music. Am I missing something here?

When viewing a song or album in Apple Music, there should be a few options. This is a shot of a song/album that hasn't been added to your Library yet:

From this view, tapping the song will play it. Tapping Add or the + icon will add it to your Library for online streaming. It has not downloaded the song to the device yet. These songs are viewed directly from your Library. Library > Playlists, for example, will show all added music. Items can be downloaded individually or entirely by clicking the icons visible in the next screenshot.

This is the view after adding a song to your Library:

Tapping on the Cloud with the down arrow will download the song to your device, and make it available for offline play. In your Library, you can find these songs by tapping on Downloaded Music.
