Oct 2, 2016 2:27 PM in response to Mark Bradfordby iDriss_5555,Hi Mark,
I guess that it's a compatibility issue between Snow Leopard & iOS 10 but, as a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pictures into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Oct 3, 2016 12:18 PM in response to Mark Bradfordby Demo,It may still be that your OS is too old. The current syncing requirements are OS X 10.9 and iTunes 12.5. I know that you are not syncing with iTunes, but I'm saying that Lion 10.7.5 may be too old now for this to work reliably.

Oct 3, 2016 12:30 PM in response to Mark Bradfordby Mark Bradford,The 5c also asks whether to trust my computer every time I connect it, and iTunes says it can't connect with my phone "because an invalid response was received from the device."

Oct 3, 2016 12:34 PM in response to Mark Bradfordby Demo,That is proof enough for me that your Mac OS is now incompatible with iOS 10. People with older Mac OS have been reporting the very same thing that you are stating. You have to upgrade the Mac OS or you will not be able to sync with iOS 10 devices.

Oct 3, 2016 12:42 PM in response to Demoby Mark Bradford,And I'm just learning this now? After the update? Lion is the latest OS I can run on this computer. Forcing me to buy a new Mac at this time is not cool at all. Apple keeps doing this to me, and I have no way of going back to iOS 9.
I am terminally ill and on a fixed income. Buying a new computer right now is not in the cards. Why doesn't Apple give us more warning about these things? Unbelievable.

Oct 3, 2016 12:40 PM in response to Mark Bradfordby Demo,I will get an argument from any others on this issue, but agree with you that Apple does a poor job of making users aware of what is needed with regard to OS and iTunes requirements before they upgrade their iOS devices. The information is out there, but it is not listed on any web site where they hype the download.
Nowhere on this website does it say or link to any information about syncing with iTunes.

Oct 3, 2016 12:47 PM in response to Demoby Mark Bradford,I used to shrug about the way Apple forces us to buy new things by making old ones obsolete, but not now. I've been a big Apple proponent for decades, but if there isn't a fix for this soon, I will go public on the large platform I have to speak out against the way Apple disadvantages those in need.
