Q: Can I insert a nano card into a iPhone 6 to activate it and take it out after?
I received a iPhone 6 or 6s from a friend of mine. He said I would need to provide a sim card of my own. I know you need a sim card to activate the phone. In my situation I will not be using the iPhone as an actual phone but as an iPod. I understand the sim card does not have to be an active card. But it cannot be disabled or reported stolen. But my main concern is: can I insert the nano card for the activation to start and have it set it, than can I remove it and will it still work without it in?
Note: I'm not 100% if the iPhone is a 6 or 6s?

Yes. A SIM is required to activate the device with Apple. Once activated, you can remove it and use the iPhone as an iPod touch. Best thing to do then is enable airplane mode, then go to wifi settings and re-enable just wifi (that way the cell phone radio stays powered off, since you're not using it anyway).
