Q: Precise mixer control

Hello,

I wonder is there any way to precisely slide/move/drag sliders and knobs in Logic Pro X mixer? I mean that normally if you click and hold the slider and simultaneously drag it works normal. But as I remember in other DAWs there was method with using "control" button, or "command" or something like that, and than dragging sliders is very slow with precision.

But in Logic Pro I can't find that option. Could you help me? Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm sorry for stupid question, I would never ask for such thing in forum, but really I've just spend one hour to find the answer in google. Probably I used wrong keywords but I tried a lot, and found nothing that helps me. So maybe you could help me?

Best Regards

Ben's suggestion does not work in my setup unfortunately (Logic 10.2.4, OSX 10.11.3, MacBookPro), so not sure whether it works for you.

    What does work is this:

Display track automation, select volume as automated parameter, click-hold and change the volume a bit, THEN press [Shift] + [Control]. Now you can change the volume in very fine increments. It's important to first click and change the volume before you press Shift and Control, otherwise it does not work.

Shift+Control also works if you want to move regions horizontally in very small increments. Very handy, I find.

    Thanks for all reply.

Ben's suggestion (dragging with "shift") doesn't work for me.

But suggestion to "shift + control" dragging automation works for me, but it's not a solution.

I expect do that on all sliders and knobs, but with automation it's tricky and totally not efficiency way to do that.

Actually I can't believe there is no such option. But Oingo Boingo tells it doesn't work in his setup. So maybe we just need to change setup in some way in preferences. Ben, could you help with that?

    THanks in advance.
