Unresponsive keyboard on login screen (mid 2015 Retina Macbook Pro, macOS Sierra 10.12)

Hello all,

Since yesterday the keyboard on my MBP started behaving strangely.
Whenever I try to log in after OS load/reload or logout keyboard becomes unresponsive and entering the password takes forever by pressing the each letter/digit key multiple times in order to enter it once.
Although after the login the keyboard works just fine and even during wake ups the password can be entered on login screen without any problem.

Any suggestions about the cause of the problem would be welcome.

I ve already tried resetting NVRAM and SMC to no avail.
Macbook is brand new, bought jus a month ago.

I have the same problem with mac book pro early 2015, so I far I tried several os upgrades (latest one is siera), clean install but the problem still persists.

The only temparary solution I found is to disable filevault and it works fine. Obviously this is not a full solution I talked to apple support when my laptop was still under warrenty but they didn't help.

it seems others have a similar problem but no solution yet:

Macbook Pro keyboard not working on login (wireless one does!)

MacBook Pro 2015: Boot problems, trackpad issues etc.

Hopefully apple will respond soon to clarify the problem
