Q: Ipad frozen due to asking for old ID password
Hi - I have just updated my ipad and iphone to IOS 10 and now it keeps asking for the password to my old apple ID. I have tried changing the apple ID to the old one temporarily so I could login and get past this, however, when I try to change the Apple ID it then sends a verification code to the old email - which doesn't exist. I am so frustrated with this and have spent the whole weekend trying different solutions to no avail. I cannot use my ipad at all now as the password request is permanently appearing and I cannot get rid of it. Please help before I throw it out the window!

You're gonna need to recover that password. What you're running into is the activation lock and there's no easy fix around it
