AV software will do more harm than good on a Mac. I am sure others will speak up here too. Maybe search and read other questions re: AV software on this forum.

Install no product that even remotely resembles that description.
If you encountered a popup window alleging your Mac has a "virus", it's a scam. Read Phony "tech support" / "ransomware" popups and web pages.
If that doesn't describe what's going on with your Mac, please explain.
