The fastest way I can think of would be to go to the Albums tab, go into All Photos, scroll to the photos you want to delete, and hit 'Select' at the top right corner. Place your finger on the first full row you'd like to delete (if you have photos that don't take up a full row and you'd like to delete these as well, select them individually first), slide your finger over the entire row so that they are all selected, and then slide up so that it automatically begins scrolling to your older photos. Once the photos you want to delete are selected, tap the trash can in the bottom right corner. This will move them to your 'Recently Deleted' album, so they will still be on your phone for 30 days unless you delete them. If you are sure that you have already backed up these photos and didn't accidentally include photos you still want, feel free to delete them.
