little sound problem with apple tv

Once in a while ever since the latest update, the apple tv's sound goes on and off like a pop, the screen "flashes"or "jump" a little, and I lose the sound for a second, whether I'm playing music or a video on youtube or streaming something from my iPhone. and that happens 2-4 times every hour.

I have the latest apple tv and software is up to date.

It's connected to a Samsung tv by hdmi, and to a soundbar with an optical wire which worked perfectly fine when I play my dvr or my blueRay player.
