Can't see iPhone on iTunes with ios10

I installed IOS 10.02 on my 5s today and now my computer won't see it in iTunes. The Computer says "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "William Bowden's iPhone" because an invalid response was received from the device". I have an older mac pro 1,1 Dual-core intel Xeon. System 10.7.5 Can anybody tell me if they are compatible? What can I do to fix it?
