Q: Upgrade to iOS10.0.2 rendered 7+ useless
I bought two jet black 7+ (256) this morning. Set one up at the store (limited setup to install phone function and not restore my phone since I use computer backup). Went home to restore and phone worked fine. Then I noticed upgrade for iOS 10.0.2 and thought must be for the new phone so I went ahead and installed. During the installation process an error message came up - cannot restore phone - error (6). I called Applecare and we went through the restore. Tried uninstalling my Norton anti-virus software and still had the same error message. Technician told me to take it back since my computer must be bad (its not). Went to the Apple store, they tried to restore and got the same error message. They had no replacement available but since I bought two, I thought I had another phone to use till they got the replacement. The genius said do the software update first before you restore. I went home, didn't even hook into my computer and just used wi-fi to update the phone. Sure enough, same error message. Now I have two iPhone 7+ that don't work. Seems like a problem with the software update to the phone to me. Any thoughts?
