Safari - Websites end in .co, not .com

MacBook Pro Early '15 running macOS Sierra

When I type a website I visit frequently into my address bar, where it will automatically fill in the rest of the site's info, it ends the site with .co instead of .com. I have reset my history and typed these websites in again, ending them with .com, but when they appear after Safari suggests the site I've entered in before, it automatically ends it with .co. I want to make sure I don't have a virus, but I also want the sites to end with .com because when they end in .co, they sometimes lead me to international websites or the like.

Check your browser settings so it does not recommend sites. Unfortunately, if you visit sites with identical DNs but different suffixes, then the problem is related to the duplicate DNs or an issue in your browser history. Try emptying the history and your browser's and domain name cache so these other sites aren't discovered. Be sure you have completed the URL properly before hitting return.
