Q: Deleting books

I want to delete some books I purchased from ibook store. Some I have downloaded to my computer and others I have not. I want to delete the ones off my computer and the ones that are "sitting" in ibook store ready to be downloaded to my computer. Everyone talks about how to hide books which you can then unhide later on if you want them back, but I want to deleted them off of my "purchased" list in the ibook store. How do I do that?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

    Hey Sjonee123,

I went searching for your question online and people posed similar questions regarding purchases in the Apple Store and on iTunes. What I posit it that you aren't able to delete purchases from your iTunes account because that would allow a window of opportunity for people to "accidentally" delete items they purchased and require more assistance from Apple Support. I'd assume that only a fragment of a percent of people (i.e. you) would want this feature.

Here is a link to Hide and Unhide, though I know you've already seen this.

You can go to Ibooks in your mac, then iBooks store, and at the right side of the screen you will find a link to "purchased". If you enter that section and you get your mouse over a book, a little "x" will appear so you can delete it.
