Q: Public Beta iOS 10.0.1 will not update

For some reason when I updated iOS 10 on my iPhone 5s it downloaded

a Public Beta version of 10.0.1. It is buggy, (e.g. Siri only "dings" when I have on earbuds, phone calls

go silent, etc.) When I tried to update to 10.0.2 it downloaded for probably an hour ( I am at home

in my WiFi with the phone plugged into my iMac) until it said it could not download

the update. I've tried not plugging  into my iMac and get the same thing. Any suggestions?

    Hello okiedokey,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding you've been unable to install the current version of iOS on your iPhone running beta software. It sounds like you've done a great job trying to resolve this on your own. I am happy to help. Please follow the steps below.

    1. Make sure that you're using the latest version of iTunes.
    2. Put your device in recovery mode and restore it. If you turned on Find My iPhone, enter your Apple ID and password after the restore to activate your device.
    3. If you can't finish the restore, get help.
    4. After the restore is complete, you can set up your device from your archived backup. This backup should be from an earlier version of iOS.
