Digital touch messaging code

When using the digital touch messaging with friends, most of the time it will say the receiptient kept it at whatever time they kept it, and i obviously see that on our message feed but today I saw a strange code when it said the receiptient kept whatever I had sent. It said "(receiptient) kept %2$@ from you". Any ideas what that means? I sent two digital touch messages back to back last night and I saw that they did receive them but then today I see this strange code pop up In the AM time when I didnt send them anything else after those two digital touch messages last night, so im confused??? What's that code all about?
